«a) la critica alla filosofia della storia deterministica e teleologica […];
b) la relativizzazione del primato della sfera economica a favore della centralità della sfera politica;
c) il riconoscimento del momento rivoluzionario che oppone il totalitarismo alla democrazia, caratterizzata, invece, da un'istanza conservatrice;
1) un partito unico di massa guidato da un capo;
2) un'ideologia cui consacrarsi ciecamente;
3) il monopolio della forza bruta, degli strumenti di polizia e della lotta armata;
4) il controllo centralizzato dell'economia;
5) la penetrazione dello Stato-partito in ogni settore della società e in ogni dimensione della vita quotidiana;
Sui primi quattro punti ci siamo già soffermati a sufficienza.

Italiano: Elemento #: SCP-002
Classe dell'Oggetto: Euclid

English: Item #: SCP-002
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-002 must constantly be connected to a power source in order for it to remain in what appears to be its charging mode. In case of interruption of the flow of electricity, the area must be evacuated immediately and the emergency barrier that separates the object from the rest of the building must be activated. When power is restored, it will be necessary to flood SCP-002's containment chamber with an alternation of X-rays and ultraviolet rays, until the object is again connected to the power source and returns to charging mode. The containment area must be kept at negative pressure at all times.
Teams of at least two members are required to remain within 20 meters of SCP-002 or its containment area. Staff must maintain physical contact with each other at all times to be sure that the other person is really present, as the object could affect the perception of the surrounding environment.
Only Level 3 or higher personnel can access SCP-002; this restriction may be considered lifted by written authorization from at least two Level 4 off-site administrators. Personnel holding this authorization must still be escorted by at least five Level 3 security members for the duration of their contact with SCP- 002 and will have to temporarily renounce their security rank and clearance. Once the visit is over, the personnel in question will be escorted at least 5km away from SCP-002 to undergo a seventy-two hour quarantine and psychological assessment. In the event that there are no problems, the above personnel will regain their security rank and clearance.
Description: SCP-002 resembles a fleshy tumor growth with a volume of approximately 60m3. An iron hatch located on one side leads inside, which would appear to be a normal low-priced apartment of modest size. One of the walls of the room has a window, although no opening is visible from the outside. The room contains several pieces of furniture which, when inspected more closely, turn out to be bone sculptures, braided hair, and several other biological substances produced by the human body. All the tests carried out so far show that every object in the room has a different or fragmentary DNA.
See the Mulhausen Report [cross-ref: document00.023.603] for further details pertaining to the object's initial discovery.
Report: To date, the object is held responsible for the disappearance of seven staff members. Moreover, since it has been in the custody of the Foundation, the object has added to its furniture two lamps, a mat, a television, a radio, a bean bag, three books written in an unknown language, four toys for children and a small potted plant. All tests using various laboratory animals, including primates, have failed to elicit any response from SCP-002, as have corpses. Whatever the process used by the object to convert organic matter into furniture, it seems to be able to take place only in the presence of a living human being.

Mulhausen Report [00.023.603]
The following is a brief report detailing SCP-002's discovery.
The object was discovered in a small crater in northern Portugal, where the impact of the object that fell from Earth's orbit had occurred. Despite being contained in a thick rock envelope, the fleshy exterior of the object had been exposed due to the impact. A local peasant happened to be there and reported his discovery to the village chief. The object gained the Foundation's attention when a Level 4 agent stationed there detected a minor radioactive anomaly originating from the crater.
A team of SCP security and containment members commanded by General Mulhausen was immediately dispatched to the site, where they immediately placed the object inside a large container, and then began carrying out several tests using subjects from the nearby village. Three men sent individually to the facility disappeared one after another; Upon discovering this deadly property of SCP-002, General Mulhausen issued a Level 4 Elimination Order to all witnesses (approximately 1/3 of the village) to ensure that knowledge of the object in question did not spread. Later, the general ordered transportation to the SCP facility [DATA EXPUNGED].
During the preparations for the transport, four staff members were inexplicably lured inside the object, where they immediately disappeared. According to subsequent inspections, the object had "grown" within itself several new furnishings, beginning to resemble the interior of an apartment. General Mulhausen immediately requested Class III HAZMAT suits for the remaining team members, who proceeded to transport the container onto a transport ship for the journey to the SCP containment facility.
[DATA EXPUNGED]
[DATA EXPUNGED]
Following the elimination of General Mulhausen, SCP-002 was once again secured by SCP staff and taken to the special containment facility in [REDACTED], where it remains today. After General Mulhausen's incident, staff with authorization below Level 3 have been denied access to SCP-002, unless authorized by at least two Level 4 administrators.

2020.08.17 20:27 EmptyWalletNoFood [GUIDA ITALIANA] Giocare a The Sims 4 in Multiplayer con SimSync!

Siete a metà dell'opera. Adesso l'host deve andare su HOST e in LAN Bindings.
Binding Addres, selezionate All address 0.0.0.0 Host addres: Dovete inserire il vostro IP Hamachi.
Entrare in partita.
Congratulazioni!

2020.08.16 18:52 TheMisled ASUS ROG Spatha mouse not working in Wired mode

So the mouse was working perfectly fine the night prior and no new software or hardware was installed. Cut to today and the mouse works fine for a breif moment and then after a few windows connect/disconnect sounds, just stops working. The mouse currently works a-ok in wireless mode (corrently doesn't have much battery left and I prefere wired anyways). Something I have noted when i plug the mouse in is that while all ROG software stops recognising it and the lights on the mouse itself freeze leading me to believe it may be a firmware problem with the mouse.
As for what I've tried: *Restarting pc several times *Reinstalling ROG software *Reinstalling PC SUB drivers
I have also tried to update the firmware to it's most up to date version for the mouse itself but the issue with that is the mouse is required to be plugged in and as I've mentioned above, the software won't actually recognise the mouse in wired mode.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is starting to drive me mad.

2020.06.03 20:30 Ctime910 De re coquinaria. Help

Good evening.
I'm corrently reading 'De Re Coquinaria', and although I understand a lot of it, I still find things that confuse me. The first entry (conditum paradoxum) of the first book (epimeles), for example, has kept me awake in agony for some days now. The author is listing amounts of ingredients to be added:
" Tum mittes piperis uncias IV iam triti, masticis scrupulos III, folii et croci dragmae singulae, dactilorum ossibus torridis quinque, isdemque dactilis vino mollitis, intercedente prius suffusione vini de suo modo ac numero, ut tritura lenis habeatur "
What I don't understand is why dragmae singulae and ossibus torridis are not accusative. Please, someone help me get some sleep.
Here is the source I'm using: http://www.thelatinlibrary.com/apicius/apicius1.shtml
Here is Vehling's translation: " THEN ADD 4 OZS. OF CRUSHED PEPPER [2], 3 SCRUPLES OF MASTICH, A DRACHM EACH OF [nard or laurel] LEAVES AND SAFFRON, 5 DRACHMS OF ROASTED DATE STONES CRUSHED AND PREVIOUSLY SOAKED IN WINE TO SOFTEN THEM. "

Sorry if I got something wrong while posting this, first time.

2020.05.15 16:23 Geryam I just don't get it!!!

I just don't get it!
I(21M) love my girlfriend(21F). I sincerely do, and I would never want to hurt her or break her heart! I just could not! Yet, I have this intense urge to cheat on her. I have this intense almost need to go sleep with someone else.
Trying to keep it short, we've been in a serious relationship since about an 8 months now. We used to be colleagues, and she used to have a crush on me for a long time and being the guy, of course I didn't realize for the longest time. We dated (around 2018) and slept with each other twice and then for a long time nothing happened for many reasons, but we remained very good friends and continued to kick ass at work. Then early last year we ended up slipping into FWB, knowing she is going to move away for Uni. This whole FWB time though, we both were suppressing our feelings and never talked about them. When the time came for her to more, the realization hit us like a freight train that this is much much more.
That's when we made it official, and since then we have been in a Long Distance Relationship. I love it! I love her! She's smart, beautiful and has an incredibly kind soul. Sex was great, pouncing on each other anything between 3 to 5 times a day. It's all I've ever wanted in a relationship.
BUT for some reason, in the back of my head, I've always had the thought of sleeping with other woman in the back of my mind. I have very high libido, and a LDR isn't easy. Admittedly, I was reluctant at first to get exclusive, because I felt it would limit my freedom sexually, especially in a LDR, but also I was not going to throw away my intense feelings and love for her, on something I might have with others. I am committed! 100%, No regrets!
Now, between Feb/March and April, we had quite a rough patch, along with her health not in great shape and family hardships. There were severe communication gaps (which we'd never had even slightly) and caused major misunderstandings, disappointment and needs not fulfilled. Plus, the CORrent situation, not making things any easier.
We talked it all through, and we're better now. It was back to normal really for a bit, but then again it just isn't the same. Just isn't the same lovey-dovey way we used to be. There are many external factors that go along it, but sometimes I just have the feeling she is not putting in the effort as much as I am. I know it's a result of the times, and it'll pass, just need to hold it out for now. But in the meantime, my head is drifting.
I still love her, dearly. Nothing has changed that, but now my thoughts and needs and wants are drifting in a direction which would put us both in a world of extreme hurt.
Yet I still have these urges and desires. An open-relationship is definitely out of question for her. These urges in me, are slowly turning into actions. I have not cheated on her, not in the slightest. But I've been craving attention and been getting it, so much so, that I am almost close to pulling the trigger, thinking of all the ways to mitigate, so that my girlfriend would not find out. This is terrible!!! Yet I also feel terribly at loss.
I always held the opinion to never cheat, especially not on this extremely lovable and kind person, but if my thoughts have already taken me this far, I really don't know what might happen.
How can I love someone at yet even remotely thinking of hurting them???
I just don't get it!!!

2019.12.21 00:40 Rsubs33 [Game Preview] Week 16 - Philadelphia Eagles(7-7) vs. Dallas Cowboys (7-7)

Philadelphia Eagles (7-7) vs Dallas Cowboys (7-7)
The Eagles welcome the Cowboys to the friendly confines of Lincoln Financial Field with the division on the line. A win for Eagles keeps their playoffs hopes alive for another week, while a win for the Cowboys would cliche the division. While it looked the Cowboys hit their stride last week against a tough Rams team, the Eagles struggled against the 3-11 Redskins. The Eagles will need to play better this week week especially on the defensive side of the ball where Jim Schwartz’s Cover-1 scheme has struggled in shutting down opponents passing attacks. If the Eagles can’t put together a complete game from the offense and defense, they could see themselves playing a meaningless game next week and some of the coaching staff could be looking for the jobs in the offseason. Go Birds!

Stats to Know
Randall Cobb
Of all qualifying WRs, there is only one other receiver--including RBs and TEs--more exclusively utilized in the Slot than Dallas WR Randall Cobb (91.5% of snaps). There is also only one more purely Slot receiver with a lower target percentage than Cobb (16.0%). When looking at overall target share across Cowboys players, Cobb sits at about 14% target share, as compared to Cooper (21%), Gallup (19%), Witten (15%), Elliott (12%), and Jarwin (8%). Cobb is 2nd among Cowboys in Yards After Catch per Reception (6.0) to Zeke (8.1). He is also tied for 43rd among all qualifying WRs in PFF Receiving Grade (71.1).
Matchups to Watch
Cowboys Pass Defense vs Eagles Passing Attack
The Eagles patchwork passing offense is the key matchup for Philly in this contest. No one should expect the Eagles revolving door of suck in the secondary to hold up well against one of the most talented and efficient passing attacks in the NFL. Cooper, Cobb, and Gallup will be too much for Philadelphia to handle – and that doesn’t include Jarwin and Zeke. The most logical path for the Eagles to win this game is to keep pace and outscore Dallas in a shootout. Dallas will enter Sunday’s contest with the 22nd ranked defense by DVOA – 23rd passing, 18th against the run – which presents an opportunity for the beleaguered Eagles passing attack. Fumbles aside, Carson Wentz had a pretty good game against the Redskins and a good second half against the Giants to end the 3 game skid they were on previously. The Cowboys defense is better than their previous two opponents but not by much. This is a secondary that can be exploited, especially at safety. Additionally, the Cowboys will likely be without LVE again. Sean Lee is a capable back up now and shouldn’t be ignored, but that is a hit the Cowboys have had to deal with on the season. This receiving group is bottom of the barrel and isn’t improving any time soon. JJAW is still a limited receiver they need to lean on; maybe the Eagles should have given him reps early in the season so he could be more ready now? Greg Ward has been a decent contributor to the offense all things considered. Then what? Alshon is out. Agholor will probably be out, fortunately. Desean has been out. The receivers the Eagles have at their disposal is bleak. This is a passing attack that flows through the TEs and RBs. While they have had some success the last two games, they’ll need to be creative in their approach to avoid being predictable as it is not a sustainable path to victory. Teams have shown a willingness to do all they can to eliminate Philly’s best receiver, Ertz, and Dallas is no different. The Eagles need to leave everything out on the field from a coaching and execution standpoint to take back the East.
Cowboys Passing Offense vs. Eagles “Secondary”
Despite perception, the Eagles still have a very good pass rush despite challenges in that area this year. They just don’t have a secondary that can a) cover and b) cover enough to force QBs to hold onto the ball long enough for the pass rush to get home. What has been the theme against the Eagles secondary in their last 3 games? The answer would be a quick time to throw from the opposing QBs. The Eagles cannot play man coverage as they don’t have the personnel to do it. They struggle with single high coverage as they don’t really have good enough safeties to cover. The answer is, and always was, through against this substandard secondary quickly to defeat the rush… plays will be made. This doesn’t change on Sunday with the strong receiving group the Cowboys enter Sunday with, Dak shoulder injury be damned. Amari Cooper has done nothing but roast Philadelphia since he became a Cowboy. Cobb is a quality slot receiver and Gallup is a young receiver that is rapidly improving on a weekly basis. All 3 of these receivers get open against man and zone coverage. All 3 of these receivers are able to consistently make plays on the ball that Philly absolutely cannot. In addition to the 3 receivers, the Cowboys still have Zeke out of the backfield to go along with the plodding, but reliable Jason Witten. Blake Jarwin is growing into a good tight end that is a capable blocker and receiver. Simply put, the Cowboys have a pretty loaded offensive core for Dak to throw to. This is a matchup that leans strongly the Cowboys way. Any stops or turnovers generated by the secondary will go a long way to determining the winner of this contest. Lastly, in terms of Dak’s injury, his effectiveness will be key to Dallas’s success on Sunday. It’s just hard to project what they’ll look like at this point in time.
Cowboys Offensive Line vs Eagles Defensive Front
The Cowboys handily won in the trenches in this area in their first matchup this year. The Eagles defensive front is playing better at this point of the season than they were earlier in year which should help, but the pass rush isn’t as prolific as it once was. The first matchup had the Eagles missing Nigel Bradham and a few days removed from cutting Zach Brown; Dallas took every opportunity to pound the Eagles substandard linebacking room into the dirt. This is a strength v. strength matchup that each side will have wins, but the winner will likely help win the war. The good news is Nigel Bradham will be available Sunday. The bad news: KGH is done for the year and Derek Barnett is unlikely to play. Losing Barnett hurts the defensive line but they are deeper there than they are at LB. Nate Gerry is certainly a player, just not a good one. TJ Edwards is everyone’s favorite good player that’s actually bad. Bradham alone makes a big difference, but guys around him need to step up in a big way. The defensive line needs to control the line of scrimmage and keep Dallas out of favorable looks. This is a team that has proven they’ll turtle up in less than advantageous situations; they cannot make it easy for them. Last time, Zeke had his way on the Eagles. That can’t happen this week. There are already more favorable matchups for Dallas to exploit on the backend for the defensive line to get run over or fail to pressure Dak.

2019.09.20 22:33 Rsubs33 [Game Preview] Week 3 Philadelphia Eagles(1-1) vs Detroit Lions (1-0-1)

Philadelphia Eagles (1-1) vs Detroit Lions (1-0-1)
The Eagles will look to rebound in in week 3, after a disappointing loss to the Falcons last week that saw them lose both their starting WRs in the first series of the game as well as some scares in the blue tent with both Carson Wentz and Jason Kelce being evaluated for concussions in the game. The Eagles also loss Corey Clement on a kick return last week. The Eagles will most likely be missing both WRs and Clement this week as they welcome the Detroit Lions back to town for the first time since the snow bowl in 2013. In that time frame the Eagles have lost the last two meetings in Detroit to the Lions. Lions are coming off a tough win vs. the Chargers after settling for a tie with the Cardinals in week 1. Patricia is trying to prove he isn’t a bust like so many Belichick disciples before him after going 6-10 with the Patriots in week 1. The two teams will both be looking for win number 2 in week 3 as the teams meet in Philly for the first time since the snow bowl in 2013 when Chip Kelly still looked like he could be a viable NFL coach (a fact that has been verified as false). The Lions took their revenge since that game blowing out Chip Kelly’s Eagles in 2015 and winning a nail biter against Pederson’s Eagles in his first season in 2016. Pederson will look for his first win against the Lions and the Eagles secondary will look to rebound after being shredded by Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley week 2. As rumors circulate of Jalen Ramsey the Eagles corners will look to prove them themselves against a talented Lions WR corps led by Kenny Golladay, who looks like a stud after his first to years in the league. The Eagles secondary will look for help from a DL that has only managed two sacks in their first two weeks and has failed to generate any real pressure despite holding opponents rushing to just 42.5 yards per game. On the flip side, Pederson will look to reinforce to Matt Patricia who his daddy is after last torching the Patriot led Patricia defense in Super Bowl 52 with Big Dick Nick Foles. Look for the Eagles to start fast as Pederson has blamed his play-calling for the slow starts in the first two games of the season. The game should help determine for both teams if they are playoff contenders or pretenders so look for a hard fought game on both sides with hopefully no injuries. As always Go Birds!

Matt Stafford and the Lions got off to a quick start scoring touchdowns on their first 4 possessions of the game before the Eagles defense settled down and the defense settled down. The offense took the lead in the 4th quarter with a Cody Parkey field goal, but a perfect pass by Matt Stafford to Golden Tate set up a Matt Prater field goal with 1:28 to go left in the game and the Eagles with no timeout. Wentz who played nothing like a rookie in just his 5th NFL games had his rookie side come out at the worst possible moment as he threw up a deep game to Nelson Agholor on first down which was picked off by Darius Slay to seal the game for the Lions.

Eagles 34 - Lions 20
Both teams struggled to put up points and kick extra points in the first half as a blizzard gripped Philadelphia dropping 6 inches despite a forcast of only a couple snow showers. However once LeSean McCoy put his head down and ran straight ahead instead of juking and jiving, no one could stop him. McCoy ran for a franchise-best 217 yards, including touchdowns of 57 and 40 yards. The Eagles put up 34 points despite trailing the Philadelphia Eagles overcame two TD returns by Jeremy Ross to beat the Detroit Lions 34-20 in a snowy Sunday in Philadelphia.

Recap from Last Week’s Games.
Eagles
Video The Eagles offense started with another slow start and the loss of both starting WRs (Jeffrey and Jackson) on the first series did not help any. The Eagles offense struggled to maintain drives against the speedy Falcons defense who picked off Carson Wentz twice. On the other side of the ball the Eagles struggled to stop the vaunted passing attack of the Falcons led by Matt Ryan and Julo Jones. The Eagles kept it exciting as Wentz gave the Eagles a 3 point advantage with 3:13 left, but the Eagles defense couldn’t hang on giving up a 4th down 54 yard TD with 2:12 left in the game and the Eagles failed to score on their next possession giving the win to the Falcons.
Lions
Video The Lions came into the game looking to prove themselves after settling for a tie with the rebuilding Cardinals. But the Chargers dominated most of the day. They picked off Matt Stafford twice and kept the QB off balance before he connected with Kenny Galloday in the middle of the 4th quarter for a go ahead TD to give the Lions the lead. On the other side of the ball, Keenan Allen dominated the Lions Pro Bowler from last season, Darrius Slay, for most the game hauling in 8 catches for 98 yards, but Slay got the better of him at the end of the game picking off a Philip Rivers pass with a minute and ten seconds left when the Chargers were in position to attempt a 45 yard FG to tie the game. Slay's INT sealed the game giving the Lions second place in the division behind Packers and kept them undefeated.

Stats to Know
Stafford and the Deep Ball
Matthew Stafford is one of the most productive Quarterbacks in NFL history, but the deep ball has never been a huge factor in his game. In 2019, that’s not been the case. In two games--so a small sample size--Stafford has averaged the second-greatest percentage of all passes being throws at least 20 yards down the field, at 22.7%. Josh Rosen is tops, so far, at 28.6%. His Deep Adjusted Completion Percentage, though (completions + drops / aimed) is and typically has been middling, at 47.1%, where the average is 43.6%.
Matchups to Watch
Lions Pass Defense vs Eagles Receivers
I had to think about whether or not the Eagles would have receivers for this game – emphasis on the plural version. In week 2, the Eagles suffered a deluge of injuries at the WR spot essentially turning the WR room into this year’s version of the 2018 CB room. For all of the good the Eagles do with coaching and analytics, they have terrible injury luck. It warrants a lot of fan inquiries into what the Eagles are actually doing with regards to player health. Philly will likely be without Alshon, DJax, and Dallas Goedert in this contest, significantly altering the teams potential game plan for the Lions. The Lions have a decent secondary with stud Darius Slay and the always fun Quandre Diggs at safety. Slay will follow the oppositions top target from time to time which could end up being Zach Ertz given the amount of Eagles injuries. They’d be wise to do that since the Lions don’t have an LB to match up with Ertz. This could give Nelson Agholor an opportunity to be a key player for the team in this contest. As we saw just a week ago, he can bail you out and also help you lose at the same time. Carson Wentz took a lot more heat that deserved for his efforts against Atlanta despite some questionable first half play by helping give this team a late lead in a game they still should have won despite the adversity. He’ll have to lean on the inexperienced depth at receiver and the coaches will have to devise a game plan to help out Carson Wentz. Being down 3 out of your top 4 targets at once is a difficult hurdle to leap but one the Eagles have no choice but to do this week. The Lions will likely do what the Falcons did and stack the box, daring them to throw. The Eagles have the QB to execute the offense, but can the remaining receivers step up in an important spot?
Lions Defensive Front vs Eagles Offensive Line
The Eagles offensive line turned in a shaky performance last week against a Falcons defensive line that was hungry, desperate to right their season, and get revenge on their recent let downs against the Eagles. Brandon Brooks is the only guy on the line to have a great game, which says a lot about his recovery. Overall, I think too much has been said about Peters this week; while he wasn’t great against Atlanta, he did play well overall and wasn’t the main problem. Isaac Seumalo was the main culprit and an utter disaster against the gifted Grady Jarrett. I understand the frustration with his play but I think we need to remember that he has turned in some solid performances for the Eagles – including week 1 against a good opponent. It’s concerning that he regressed mightily to 2017 Week 2 form so quickly, but he deserves a chance to bounce back. He better quickly as the entire Detroit DL is talented and multiple in their looks. Snack Harrison, A’Shawn Robinson, Da’shawn Hand, Trey Flowers, and Mike Daniels can be very disruptive for the Lions. Matt Patricia isn’t afraid to line these guys anywhere; we should expect him to try and exploit Seumalo like the Falcons did. Seumalo needs to step up and the coaches need to find a way to make life easier for him. One thing to note… they should be better against the run than they’ve been. It’s odd to see this unit allow over 5 YPC in the young season. If the Eagles OL can play more disciplined this week, it’ll go a long way in helping the offense stay on schedule. Furthermore, they need to keep Wentz clean. There were times where Wentz welcomed the hits but more often than not the OL was beat cleanly and Wentz had to get hit in order to keep the play alive. Look at the Nelson Agholor drop and 4th down catch for example. Both were delivered as he was being hit. Those weren’t on Wentz. The OL allowed an alarming number of hits than we’re used to seeing.
Lions Passing Offense vs Eagles Pass Defense
As long as the Eagles don’t have a CB at the level of, say, Jalen Ramsey, the secondary will always be a question mark. This is especially true in a Jim Schwartz defense that sometimes doesn’t help hide the deficiencies his CBs have, resulting in big plays the other way. The Lions have a very good receiving room despite it not being as good as the Atlanta group the Eagles just faced. I also wonder if the Rocket Scientist knows that he has the 8th best passing offense by DVOA so far this season. Anyway, Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones are as good a deep ball pairing as you’ll see; they are paired with a QB in Stafford that has all the arm talent you could want and isn’t afraid to let it rip. Golladay and Jones don’t separate like Julio and Ridley, but they can make plays in tight situations routinely. Rookie TJ Hockenson is already a good tight end for the Lions. He can win in all areas of the field. Danny Amendola is a good underneath option to pair with the previous 3 players who help give him space to operate. Stafford is an aggressive passer that will take his shots when the opportunity presents itself, which it will Sunday. The Eagles CBs were up and down last week. Darby was roasted at times but also hung out to dry by the bad Andrew Sendejo. We saw improved play from Douglas and Jones in week 2. The Eagles will need that to continue Sunday. Hockenson will present a challenge since the Eagles haven’t faced a Tight End as talented as him in the early season. Coverage can help a pass rush, which would be useful in Philly’s case since the DL hasn’t been nearly as effective while sustaining injuries. They will need to clean up the mistakes they continue to see on the back end or else they’ll continue to allow big play after big play. Mixing up coverage tendencies would help the Eagles out too since it would present an entirely different look than what Schwartz normally shows. The most efficient way to win in the NFL is to pass and stop the pass. So far this season, the Eagles haven’t done a great job at stopping the pass. That needs to change and quickly.

2019.09.18 21:58 mister_woody dividendi su Fineco

Salve.

Il lampo balena dall’Oriente fino all’Occidente.

2019.01.03 21:08 Rsubs33 [Game Preview] Playoff Edition Wildcard Round - Chicago Bears (12-4) vs Philadelphia Eagles(9-7)

Philadelphia Eagles (9-7) at Chicago Bears (12-4)
Old Saint Nick delivered his Christmas gift of putting the Eagles in the playoffs with a little help from his next opponent the Chicago Bears who beat their division rival Redskins to knock the Vikings out of the playoffs allowing the Eagles to sneak in with their win over the rival Redskins. Nick will have to use all the magic left in that big ol dick of his this week as the Bears come into the game with the best defense in football and are in the top 10 in nearly every defensive category. Their defense was good last season, but went to great when they traded for Khalil Mack before the season started. Mack is a terror for opposing offenses with 12.5 sacks and 6 forced fumbles this season, the Eagles OL and Nick Foles will need to know where Mack is at all times on the football field. I expect the game plan will be similar to when the Eagles played Mack last season using a variety of double teams to keep him off his game. On the otherside the defense has been playing better of late and shut out the beat up Washington Redskins offense holding them to mere 89 yards on offense. They will be put to the test this week taking on Matt Nagy's offense that Trubisky has thrived in this season. The DL will need to find away to get past a talented Bears OL and wreak havoc in the backfield to make Trubisky uncomfortable and stop the talented 1-2 punch of the Bears run game. The game will be a chess match between two old friends who should be very familiar with one another. Not only to Pederson and Nagy both come up under Andy Reid, but they both joined the Eagles staff in the 2009 and 2008 seasons and stayed with Reid when he went to Kansas City with Nagy taking the QB coach position and Pederson taking the OC slot. So coaching together for 7 straight seasons should give each other some ideas what the other will do and make for an entertaining football game. Go Birds!

Eagles 31 - Bears 3
he game many expected could be a trap for the Eagles turned into a rout of the Bears 31-3. The Eagles controlled both sides of the line of scrimmage and dominated the Bears running backs sending them the wrong direction as they ended the day with -6 yards rushing. The Eagles secondary also picked off Mitch Trubisky twice on the day. On offense, the Eagles running game was on point as they ran for 176 and Carson Wentz threw for 3 TDs and 227 yards before an early exit in the 4th quarter to prevent injury and give Nick Foles some playing time. The Eagles had their first 100 yard receiver this season as Zach Ertz crossed the century mark. The game wasn’t perfect though both Blount and Ajayi fumbled the football running and Malcom Jenkins fumbled after making a nice interception.

Eagles 29 - Bears 16
In Wentz’s second career game he threw for 190 yards and a TD while showing plenty of poise, just as he did in his debut against Cleveland. Ryan Mathews found the end zone two times rushing. The Eagles held the Bears in check most of the day and while Philadelphia was pulling away, Chicago quarterback Jay Cutler walked to the locker room with a right thumb injury and did not return. That was the biggest blow for the Bears (0-2), who lost several players and fell again after opening with a loss at Houston. It's not the sort of start they envisioned in their second year under coach John Fox after finishing last in the NFC North. But they continued to struggle at home, where they were 1-7 in 2016.

Recap from Last Week’s Games.
Eagles - Video – The Eagles looked to keep their season alive and Super Bowl MVP came out to play as Foles threw tied an NFL record for most consecutive completions when threw 25 straight completions that were part of 221 yards 2 TD 1 INT stat line. On the other side of the ball, the Eagles were even more dominant against a beat up Redskins offense holding them to a paltry 89 yards on offense in a shutout. Fletcher Cox feasted with 3 sacks in the game and Douglas had an interception as the Eagles got the job done against their division rival.
Bears - Video – The Bears took on their division rival with a bye at stake if the 49ers were able to pull an upset over on the Rams. The Vikings had more to play for as they were win and in for the playoffs came out flat as the Bears dominated them in every aspect of the football game. The Vikings 84 million dollar man does what he does in big games and crumbled throwing for just 132 yards and a TD. Meanwhile, the Bears refused to let up as Howard and Cohen combined for 134 yards and 3 TDs on the ground. Once the Ramns game was out of reach many backups came in for the Bears, but it didn't make a lick of difference as they held onto the win and knocked their division rival out of the playoffs allowing the Eagles to sneak in who they will play this Sunday.

Fun Fact
On New Year’s Eve, 1988, the Eagles lost a postseason heartbreaker to the Bears in Chicago, in a game that has gone down in history as “The Fog Bowl.” Meteorologically, the title was well-earned. Lake Michigan sent a blinding sheet of fog over Soldier Field late in the first half, and the haze stayed put until the very last play. Visibility was so bad that most players couldn’t see beyond 10 yards in front of their faces. Up in the public address booth, Bears play-by-play announcer Jim Riebandt had to get game updates relayed to him from an usher who was standing on the field with a two-way radio. Video

PFF Stats to Know
Chicago Running Backs
Tarik Cohen and Jordan Howard are going to need to be planned for. With injuries to the Eagles' defensive backfield, it's going to be a major task. Let's get to it. Cohen and Howard will not get many yards after contact (the Bears' offense generally does not generate much YAC or RAC). Cohen is ranked 58th and Howard is 37th in rushing yards after contact per attempt Cohen is tied for a close 2nd in % targets for overall snaps and 7th in % of his targets coming from the Slot. When aligned in the Slot, though, Cohen has generated the 2nd-most Yards Per Route Run, at 3.19. Overall, Cohen has the highest YPRR and 3rd-most receiving yards of RBs. Cohen has had an atrocious 7 fumbles in 2018 (3 lost). Jordan Howard is 7th in 1st Downs generated and 47th in Yards Per Attempt. Howard is 6th in Rushing Attempts (250), still, for 935 yards (14th).

Matchups to Watch
Eagles Offensive Line vs. Bears Pass Rush
The Eagles snuck into the playoffs after week 17 with some help from their current opponent 10 years after the 44-6 beat down of the Cowboys to accomplish the same feat. The Eagles enter the playoffs as the 6 seed and rightful underdogs even with the recent success and face a Bears team that is strong on both sides of the ball - especially on defense. There are many layers to this matchup but for the Eagles it'll always start up front. Prior to the season the Bears traded for Khalil Mack after Jon Gruden decided to be an idiot. The Bears defense was already pretty good but Mack pushed the unit over the top. The Eagles have game planned for Mack before when he was on the Raiders and held him in check for the most part. However, the depth of talent on the Bears defensive front far surpasses the talent on the Raiders 2017 defensive front. To make matters worse for the Eagles, the Bears defense is strong at all 3 levels so they'll really need to win regularly up front to have any kind of success on offense. Akiem Hicks is a stout IDL who is having a strong season in a year where IDL across the league are making big impacts. Eddie Goldman is another DT for the Bears and together with Hicks formed a formidable duo prior to Mack's arrival. Mack and Hicks both have over 50 pressures for Bears defense and force a lot of offenses into making mistakes. Additionally, the entire defensive front is stout against the run as well. This is a complete unit and will need the Eagles OL to rise to the occasion as they have so often of late. Lane Johnson, Brandon Brooks, and Jason Kelce form the best right side of an OL in the NFL and all are having All Pro caliber years. Despite not playing at his usual Hall of Fame level, Jason Peters is still a good left tackle and Wis or Seumalo can hold their own at LG. This is a premier battle that can really help the Eagles win since there are many layers to this Bears defense as it is that will make the Eagles offense earn everything it can get. In their push for the post season, the Eagles defense neutralized the pass rush for the Cowboys, Rams, Texans, and Redskins on two occasions. They'll need it again for this one.
Eagles Defensive Line vs. Bears Offensive Line
The Bears enter this contest with one of the best offensive lines in terms of pass blocking efficiency per PFF this season and have veteran Kyle Long making his second consecutive start after returning from injury. Additionally, Matt Nagy runs a creative offense that does a lot to ease the pressure the offensive line can face. Fletcher Cox is having another All Pro caliber season for the Eagles with 95 pressures (per PFF) this season; that number is second only to Aaron Donald in the NFL. That's not just for his position, that is for all pass rushers. Cox is a complete player that will likely draw a lot of attention from the Bears offensive line. They'll need Timmy Jernigan and Haloti Ngata to step up opposite him and make some noise with the 1v1 matchups they'll likely get. Furthermore, Michael Bennett, Chris Long, and Brandon Graham will need to continue with their high level of play of late and take advantages of the matchups they'll get with the extra attention Cox will receive. As with any young QB, Trubisky is far less effective as a passer when he is under pressure and can be prone to throwing an interceptable pass or two. The Eagles defense has been very opportunistic of late forcing a lot of turnovers. The depleted secondary has done their part but it's the defensive line that can really change the game. Trubisky has made a lot of progress since last year but is still mistake prone. This is fine for the Bears as he'll likely improve especially with the quality coaching he has around him. But for now, this Eagles defense can help win this game by forcing him into negative plays. Lastly, controlling the Bears offensive line in the run game will help make the offense one dimensional. Force the Bears offense into unfavorable down and distances and their success rate drops. It'll be important to keep them off schedule and the defensive line will play a big role in that.
Eagles Pass Defense vs Bears Weapons
The Bears have done a great job surrounding Trubisky with plenty of weapons that can attack and win against every defense in a variety of ways. They added the big body receiver in Allen Robinson, the speedster in Taylor Gabriel, the versatile WR Anthony Miller, Trey Burton, and finally Tarik Cohen as a natural matchup nightmare for any defense. All of these guys have a trump card that can help the offense win and all are solid route runners to give Trubisky space to throw the football. Jordan Howard is a solid running back and it'll be important to contain him but Tarik Cohen is the matchup nightmare the Eagles must contain. Cohen will line up everywhere and take a lot of snaps as a wide receiver which gives the Bears the ability put the offense up against favorable defensive alignments. He's explosive with the ball in his hands and is a true competitor. The offense is much more dynamic and explosive when he is on the field. Lately the Eagles defense has done a great job containing opposing RBs but the depth of weapons and the scheme Nagy runs will really test the Eagles back end. Jim Schwartz has done a great job helping this defense finish 12th in points allowed, 1st in red zone defense, and 6th best third down defense despite all of the injuries. They'll need that performance again against an offense that'll stress every blade of grass and take what you give them.
Eagles Pass Offense vs Bears Pass Defense
This is the matchup every fan should be worried about no matter how much you trust the coaches and QB to execute at a high level. The Bears enter this contest with the leagues best pass defense with plenty of high end talent and excellent coaching that have largely shut down their opposition all year. Additionally, the Bears secondary is incredible at forcing turnovers and lead the league by a large margin in interceptions. The Bears added a ton of playmakers on offense to help out Trubisky but have a ton of playmakers on defense to elevate the entire team. Few teams have been as good as the Bears have against the pass this year and 3 of the 4 that did it won the Super Bowl - leave it to the Vikings to choke. If there is a "weakness" to this defense it is outside at CB (Amukamara), LBs in coverage, and Eddie Jacksons injury status (though he'll likely play). Points will be tough to come by as will running. I would expect the coaching staff to try to use the short passing game like they did against the Texans as an extension of the run game to keep the offense on schedule. An additional benefit of this attack is it gives Foles high percentage throws to limit the potential for turnovers. The Eagles need to take this game to the Bears defense but do so smartly. Even if Amukamara is a "weak link" he really isn't a weak link. Even if the Bears don't have elite coverage LBs they have 2 Safeties that are great in coverage. It would be smart for the Eagles to take their shots with Alshon Jeffery as he is their best man coverage receiver. It would be pretty surprising for the Eagles to put up an offensive performance similar to the NFCCG but they do have the talent to be able to at least score some points. They just need to be mindful of all the things Fangio does on the back end to confuse the QB and generate turnovers. The offense needs to stay on schedule to limit low percentage opportunities.

2018.12.01 03:59 Rsubs33 [Game Preview] Week 13 - Philadelphia Eagles(5-6) vs Washington Redskins(6-5)

Washington Redskins (6-5) at Philadelphia Eagles (5-6)
The Eagles are coming off a much needed win vs. the division rival Giants giving them the series sweep. The Eagles need another win this week against another division rival as the the Redskins come to town. The game will be a matchup between two teams who have struggled with injuries this season, but the Eagles are looking to get back Darren Sproles, Sidney Jones and Rasual Douglas this week against which should be a much needed welcome. For the Redskins Colt McCoy will look to make his second start since Alex Smith went down for the season with a broken leg. McCoy will look to rebound from his first start where he threw 3 INTs in a loss to the Cowboys. On the other side of the ball the Redskins defense which started out so dominant has been porous of late through the air of late giving up over 1500 yards in their last 5 games. The Eagles will look to try to shake off their first quarter struggles and get going against Redskins by hopefully getting some early turnovers against a turnover prone McCoy and get the offense going early with Josh Adams and Sproles on the ground. If the Eagles get the ground game going it could be a long day for the Redskins as it will set up the play action and RPOs for Wentz opening it up through the air. As always with a NFCE matchup in primetime I am sure we can expect a sloppy game with a lot of penalties. Go Birds!

Eagles 30 - Redskins 17
The Eagles completed a season sweep of the Redskins on Monday Night Football in a game with a slew of penalties on the Eagles which appeared to be in retaliation to a petition against Pete Morelli which received over 100,000 signatures. Carson Wentz threw for 4 TD and 268 yards and ran for 68 more as he played Houdini most of the night with the Redskins pass rush. Wentz spread the TDs around to 4 different receivers, including a 64 bomb to Mack Hollins for the rookie wideout's first TD of his career. With the win the Eagles took a commanding two game lead over the NFC East and have the best record in the league at 6-1. The win came at a cost however as the Eagles lost both starting MLB Jordan Hicks for the season with a torn achilles and Jason Peters with a torn MCL and ACL for the season. Despite losing both players early, the Eagles dominated Washington most of the game winning convincingly 34-24 as the Eagles defense got to Cousins 4 times including forcing an a pick in the 4th quarter.

Recap from Last Week’s Games.
Eagles - Video – The Eagles first quarter woes continued against the division rival Giants as the Eagles were again shutout in the first quarter while the Giants moved the ball with ease scoring 9 in the quarter. The Eagles finally got on the board with 5:22 left in the 2nd and were able to add a Zach Ertz touchdown in the final two minutes and added a 2 point conversion to make it 19-11 heading into halftime. The second half was all Eagles as they shutdown a Giants offense that had their way with them in the first half. The Eagles added a Josh Adams TD run and another 2 point conversion to take their first lead of the game. The Giants answered with a FG to pull it back to even with 5:49 left to play in the game, before Jake Elliott broke Giants' fans hearts again with a go-ahead FG with 22 seconds left to go in the game.
Washington - Video - The Washington offense was slow to get going with Colt McCoy at the helm as the Redskins struggled against the division rival Cowboys on Thanksgiving. The Redskins defense couldn't do anything to stop Amari Cooper who had 180 yards and 2 TDs nor could they stop Zeke Elliot who had 121 yards and a TD as well. Colt McCoy struggled in his first start in 4 years throwing 3 INTs offsetting his 2 TD passes. The Redskins fell to the Cowboys 31-23.

Matchups to Watch
Eagles Offensive Line vs. Redskins Defensive Front
If the Eagles are going to save their season they are going need to win upfront and the Redskins provide a significant challenge for the Eagles OL after one of their best performances this season. The Redskins defense is good but flawed however their defensive front is among the best in football. Eagles fans should know this better than anyone else given the struggles the team has had against the Skins in recent years despite sweeping the season series last year. Ryan Kerrigan is the star on the Skins defensive front and has been nothing short of a pain for the Eagles in his career. Opposite him is Preston Smith who is a solid edge player in his own right. The Skins are also stout on the IDL with Matt Ioannidis, Jonathan Allen and rookie Daron Payne causing a ton of disruption. The Skins also like to mix in rookie Tim Settle who has been effective early in his career. The DL is a well-coached group led by Jim Tomsula and has been an issue for offensive lines throughout the season. For most of the season the Skins were exceptional against the run but have had some issues of late. But the real issue for the Eagles is this groups ability to cause issue in the passing game. Each of these guys can win their 1v1 matchups and the Skins defensive staff does a good job putting them in advantageous situations to succeed. The Eagles offensive line is still a good unit even if it isn’t performing at the elite level it did last year. This Skins defensive front gave the Eagles issues then and it is better now. Controlling the LOS always gives a team an advantage and this would be no different for the Eagles in this contest.
Eagles Defensive Line vs. Redskins Offensive Line
When fully healthy, the Redskins offensive line is among the most talented and best coached groups in football. Like their DL, the Skins OL has given the Eagles fits in the past given their immense talent and multiplicity. The Eagles were able to cause a lot of disruption against this unit last year but every bit of that was hard earned. In the first matchup between these two teams this year, the Redskins are already incredibly banged up giving the Eagles a considerable advantage despite their own health issues. Trent Williams is a HOF caliber OT for the Skins but has been banged up all season long with hand and rib issues. There is a chance he might not go and even if he does, he may not make it through the game. Morgan Moses is another good tackle for the Skins and has dealt with some nagging injuries on the year. The Skins do have Ty Nsekhe as a backup swing tackle and he is probably the best in that role in the NFL; he can start at tackle on many teams in the NFL. After that the Skins IOL is a mess. Stud OG Brandon Scherff and Shawn Lauvao landed on IR together and the IOL of the Redskins hasn’t been the same. This is a matchup where Cox should thrive and while also giving Timmy Jernigan an opportunity to welcome himself back into the line up in a big way. Colt McCoy is a quality back up QB but he is a back up QB for a reason. The Eagles have a bad and banged up secondary with a ripe opportunity for the talent on their DL to steal the show. It’ll be imperative for the Eagles defense to dominate up front and prevent Peterson and Chris Thompson from making big impacts forcing Colt McCoy into low percentage situations. McCoy is very turnover prone; while the Eagles have been very bad at forcing turnovers this season they are given the gift of opportunity in this one that they cannot let slip past them.
Redskins Passing Attack vs the Eagles Pass Offense
Alex Smith is a better QB than Colt McCoy but even before the injury Alex Smith wasn’t playing near the level he did in 2017. This isn’t a surprise since it was always likely to be an aberration given his career as an average starting QB. The weapons the Skins have in the passing game aren’t super inspiring either and are even more stressed without Paul Richardson in the lineup. However, Jay Gruden didn’t hold the offense back last week against Dallas and really amplified the aggressiveness of the offense in general. It would be reasonable for them to do it again this week given the banged-up state of the Eagles secondary. Josh Doctson has been a very underwhelming 1st round selection at receiver and the remaining cast of characters outside are all better suited for the slot. The Redskins can do one of two things to possibly succeed in this matchup: spread the Eagles out with 11 personnel and test the turnstiles outside or line up in 12 personnel and stress the Eagles LBs without Jordan Hicks. Neither is ideal for the Eagles considering Nigel Bradham is also hurt now. Jordan Reed is a quality TE despite not being what he once was due to all the injuries that have plagued his career and Vernon Davis is still good despite his age. Both players provide a big mismatch for the Eagles as the Skins are also effective out of 12 personnel. When you add in Chris Thompson, who should be returning to the lineup, the matchup only gets trickier. The Eagles don’t have the personnel to be able to do more than the basics in coverage and really need their DL to step up and force mistakes from the Skins offense. The Eagles benefit from a limited passer in Colt McCoy but he also benefits from the Eagles horrific injury situation. Either way, Gruden has enough options in the passing game to take advantage of the Eagles. It’ll be up to this ragtag cast of characters to find a way to win their battles.
Eagles Offensive Game Plan vs Redskins Defensive Game Plan
This one is general and for good reason: The Eagles offense has been pretty poor overall this season. For whatever reason, they start slow and can’t score – basically me in college. They are also more effective out of 12 personnel but don’t use it enough to really help the offense. Lastly, since the trade deadline, they have done a poor job integrating Golden Tate into the lineup. It hasn’t been one thing that has held up the Eagles offense this season which makes correcting the issues even more difficult. The offense doesn’t feature Alshon Jeffery as much as it did prior to trading for Tate; some people attribute that more to Wentz relying on Ertz but that is a mistake. Rather than work Tate into the offense and allow him to be an option for Wentz, they appear to script situations for Tate to get the ball or be a diversion neutering the offense and his overall playmaking ability. Wentz throwing to Ertz often is so far and away not the problem with the offense given that Wentz isn’t simply dinking and dunking to the best receiving option on the roster. The offense is struggling mightily to be effective out of 11 personnel. Furthermore, the Eagles RB situation has been a mess this year given injury and regression from Corey Clement. The Eagles have appeared to find a hot hand in Josh Adams who might just be the greatest RB to ever play in the Linc. While I am being sarcastic, he is a solid runner with better vision than any back currently healthy on the roster with enough speed to make big runs happen in the open field. The Eagles don’t need to make a high investment at RB but they need to be able to find guys that are patient runners that can find the spaces their great OL opens. That’s Adams. If they can find a compliment in Corey Clement as a rotational back as a runner and receiver that would be great too. And if Sproles can return and be useful that would only help as well. The point is the Eagles aren’t short on weapons and OL talent so their offensive inability this year is extremely infuriating. The Skins defense prevents some juicy matchups for the Eagles. Norman is still a good CB but he can be beat 1v1. Their other outside CB and slot CBs have been poor. Mason Foster is a liability against the run and pass. While the Skins have a very good defensive front and pass rush, they can be burned through the air since they only have one good Safety in Swearinger (Haha is overrated). The Eagles have all the talent and coaching to take advantage of this but haven’t been able to do it consistently this year. They need to start helping their defense out more while putting pressure on Colt McCoy to keep up. The coaching staff needs to put the players in positions to succeed more consistently and players flat out need to play better since they have failed the team despite good coaching.

2018.08.30 23:45 OurGovtIsLyingToUs Our Government is lying to us about Air Pollution

In light of this recent reddit post about how Air Pollution causes ‘huge’ reduction in intelligence, I did some digging and was shocked by what I discovered.
Our Government has been lying to us about Air Pollution in Malaysia. It's much, MUCH worse than they want us to believe.
Check the Government website about air quality:
http://apims.doe.gov.my/public_v2/home.html
Not only is it misleading that they use "green" (associated with the environment) for "Moderate" air quality, but they use incomplete and averaged data to mislead all of us into thinking the air quality is much better than it actually is.
First of all, they only measure PM10 particles in the air, when PM2.5 particles are much more dangerous as they are much smaller and can lodge into our lungs more easily. That is bad and misleading enough. But they go one step further. To fully mislead us into thinking the air quality is not as bad as it actually is, the PM10 figures they show for air quality are an average of the last 24 hours which has the effect of hiding the peaks of really bad air pollution by smoothing them out with the periods of decent air quality.
How do I know this? Because one of the most popular sites in the world for air quality (aqicn.org) has a specific notice for cities in Malaysia that points this very fact out:
September 2nd 2016: Please note that the offical Air Quality Index (AQI) for Malaysia from DoE is only based on PM10, and not PM2.5 (read mode). The Air Quality Index is moreover reported as the average of the past 24 hours, and not of the previous hour (read mode). This means that during the period of Haze, where the Air Quality Index can deteriorate significantly and fast, the published AQI value is most likely lower than the actual Air Quality (i.e. the air pollution is most likely higher than what is published). We are trying to engage the DoE to fix this issue and, to start with, provide API readings without 24 hours averaging, which will defintely help to better reflect the actual conditions in case of haze. Note that DoE is indeed providing readings for each hour, but each hourly value is the average of the past 24 values/hours, while no averaging should be used (data should be reported as it monitored, without averaging; this is common practice).
Our Government is so misleading about Air Pollution that independent air quality websites are having to put actual warnings about it for years, yet you don't hear anything from our Government about any of this.
Want to know how much worse the Air Pollution is compared to what our Government is telling us?
Luckily, the UN-Habitat’s World Urban Forum (WUF9) was held in Kuala Lumpur this year. In preparation for the event, Clarity Movement Co. (Clarity), an environmental sensing startup founded in 2014 by a group of UC Berkeley graduates, collaborated with the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN–Habitat) to deploy a pilot air quality monitoring network in Kuala Lumpur. Their sensors are still up and you can read them here:
https://openmap.clarity.io/?viewport=3.1526938,101.7018181,15.5
These independent sensors measure the Air Pollution based on actual PM2.5 readings like it should be. Right now, their sensor in Chow Kit (KL) is giving an Air Quality Index (AQI) value of a staggering 121 which is so high they are "unhealthy for sensitive groups" and so high even the Government air pollutant site calls AQI's of 100 - 200 "unhealthy".
Except that's not the score you'll find on the Government website. What is the current AQI score from the Government for the same area that's actually at 121 right now? Less than 60 which is less than half the actual reading! That's what ignoring PM2.5 and averaging over 24 hours gets you, completely misleading "measurements".
But wait, who's to say the UN-Habitat's sensors are corrent and the Government's readings are wrong?
Well, let's have a look at other independent sources...
Luckily, there is a service called "BreezoMeter" that we can use to check which of those two is more accurate. Enter an address in Kuala Lumpur (e.g. "Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia") to find out. Well, this site doesn't use the AQI index, it has it's own from 0 to 100 where a lower number is actually worse (unlike the AQI where a lower number is better). Right now, when the UN sensors in Kuala Lumpur are measuring "Unhealthy" AQI readings of 121 whereas the Government readings are measuring a "Moderate" AQI reading of under 60, BreezoMeter has the KL air quality currently at a horrible 18/100 that is so unhealthy they literally warn "Health Sensitivities - This is the kind of poor air quality that the doctors warned you about. Don't go outside now."
So it's safe to say the UN sensors are correct and the Government is lying to us about Air Pollution to avoid the kind of mass panic that is actually warranted when Air Pollution is so bad it not only kills some of us, it also makes all of us less intelligent.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Government forces the UN to take down the sensors it still has in KL to try to hide the real truth about just how bad the air quality is in Malaysia.
When are we going to say enough is enough and force the Government to be fully transparent about the Air Pollution problem in Malaysia and make the necessary changes to protect our health?
EDIT:
As others have pointed out, the Government earlier this month started taking into account PM2.5 into their readings. This makes my point even stronger, because it means that they are still significantly under-reporting the levels of air pollution even after taking into account PM2.5. This is proof-positive that they are lying about the air pollution as now they can't even use the excuse that they aren't taking into account PM2.5.
Here is the irrefutable evidence of this:
  1. Click this link for the UN sensor: https://openmap.clarity.io/?viewport=3.1526938,101.7018181,15.5
  2. Click on any of the sensors.
  3. Click on "Show in Plot" and make note of how bad the Air Pollution has gotten over the last 24 hours.
  4. Now go to this Government link: http://apims.doe.gov.my/public_v2/api_table.html
  5. At the top, enter the date and time 24 hours ago and compare the Government readings and you will notice it is conveniently always "Moderate" even when the independent sensors reported "Unhealthy" levels at that exact same time.
Case in point: On August 30 at 18:27, the Central Market sensor of the UN measured a staggering 168 AQI (119 @ 17:52, 122 @ 18:09, 168 @ 18:27, 129 @ 18:44, 120 @ 19:02) which is "Unhealthy" to the point where "Everyone may begin to experience health effects; members of sensitive groups may experience more serious health effects". Now compare that to the 6pm and 7pm Government readings for the exact same date by using the technique I described above and you will see our Government was reporting "Moderate" air quality below 60 (it would have to be above 100 for them to consider it "unhealthy" which is why they keep significantly under-reporting and lying to us).
The proof is 100% clear and irrefutable. As per the title of my post, our Government is lying to us about Air Pollution and even more so now that they are still under-reporting even after taking into account PM2.5.
SCREENSHOT: https://i.imgur.com/i304Aza.png
EDIT 2:
As dcx pointed out, our Government is reporting air quality as PM2.5 readings (μg/m3) and have NOT updated their scale after updating the readings to PM2.5. In other words, without changing the scale, they are providing PM2.5 readings as the actual AQI score instead of calculating the AQI score based on the PM2.5 readings which is very wrong. What does this all mean? Well, based on the AQI calculations, a PM2.5 reading of "60" where it's roughly been at for several days over most of Malaysia corresponds to an AQI of approximately 170 which falls well under the "Unhealthy" level meaning "Everyone may begin to experience health effects". However, our Government is showing those scores as "Green" and under "Moderate" which means "Air quality is acceptable". This is further proof that our Government is being dangerously misleading about the quality of our air!
EDIT 3:
As Butthole_Alamo pointed out, the US Embassy in Malaysia is properly informing its citizens about our unhealthy air quality. I just wish our Government would do the same.
EDIT 4: 9 days after my original post, our Government is still lying to us about the quality of our air (they are lying about the actual PM2.5 levels as well as how unhealthy those current levels actually are). See this screenshot of the side-by-side current air quality readings from the UN Sensors in Kuala Lumpur versus what our Government is telling us: https://i.imgur.com/ntMGc6b.jpg
EDIT 5: joshthedosh contacted Clarity.io about this matter and here is their exchange. joshthedosh posted the following summary:
TL;DR: Trust Clarity.io's readings more so than your Government's readings if you want to look after your health because Clarity.io's devices are installed at the street level and street-level measurements can be more representative of human exposure compared to your Government's more ambient-level measurements. So if Clarity.io's readings show the air quality in your city is "Unhealthy" (red), do NOT go outdoors for a run regardless of what your Government's readings say!

Ci lavorate spesso in viaggio?

Come faccio a risparmiare qualche soldo?

Bon, i nostri consigli ve li abbiamo dati e ora tocca a voi:
E ora, come da tradizione, scatenate l'inferno!
REGOLAMENTO:
